Model praying
Jesus preached in Jesus' most famous sermon (Matt 5-7), and Jesus gave a model prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; see Luke 11:1-4). This may be the most famous prayer for everyone. Although often referred to as the Lord's Prayer. Isn't the best designation because of not a record of Jesus' own prayers. He records what he taught his disciples to pray.
Jesus prayed in a swift method to guide his disciples how to pray. So, he should be a key determinant in his prayer life. But he didn't speak they should always say the specific same word. The prayer form he gave has two main parts. After calling God our Father, the first part has three petitions that focus on God's own interests:
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
It did it to you on the earth, the same in heaven.
The second part has three requests that follow us:
Give us daily bread today.
When we forgive our debtors, please forgive our debts.
Don't let us fall into temptation, but let us get rid of evil.
At the end of the prayer, he said, "Because you are kingdom, authority, and glory, forever, Amen."
From exemplary prayer, we must learn to put God's interests first in prayer. Although we must let God know our needs, we must have such a correct view. Using this model every day, we will realize a viewpoint of becoming a true disciple of Christ.
